Welcome to Ronald McDonald
House Charities North Australia.
We are an independent, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing vital programs for families with ill children.
About Our Chapter
Ronald McDonald House Charities North Australia opened our state-of-the-art Ronald McDonald House adjacent to Townsville University Hospital
in 2004, offering a place to stay for over 100 people a night. Through our accommodation and support services, we strive to Keep Families Close
when life gets turned upside down due to a child’s illness.
Our programs are run by a tirelessly hard-working team of staff and volunteers, aided by the generous support of our donors, sponsors,
corporate partners and the local community.

Acknowledgement of Country
Ronald McDonald House Charities North Australia acknowledges and pays respect to the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea, and community. We pay our respect to their Elders past and present, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
We further acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which our practical care programs operate, including the Bindal (Birri Gubba people) and the neighbouring Gurrumbilbarra Wulgurukaba people; the Yirrganydji people, the Larrakia people, the Yuwibara people and the Kalkadoon people.
Our motif (featured in the background) was proudly designed in a partnership with Townsville Artist Linda Oliver. Linda is a Waanyi woman from her grandmother, and a Kuku-yalangi woman through her grandfather.
