Our Programs

Ronald McDonald Family Rooms located in both Townsville and Mackay, provide a safe and comfortable refuge from the otherwise clinical and busy environment of the hospital. These spaces offer families a reprieve from the chaos, featuring sleep-rooms for overnight accommodation, bathroom and laundry facilities, a fully-stocked kitchen, and ample room to relax, recharge and rejuvenate.

Equipped with everything needed for a momentary respite, these inviting environments offer families the opportunity to indulge in the simple comforts of home. Whether it’s a delicious pre-prepared meal, freshening up with a hot shower, or even a friendly chat over a cup of coffee with one of our dedicated volunteers.
